New Patients

We welcome new patients and are a relationship-based dental practice that believes every new relationship is worth the time it takes to develop trust and ease of conversation.

What can I expect?

We have designated one team member, Shirley, to welcome, schedule and obtain records. The initial conversation with Shirley might include questions about past dental experiences, any concerns you may have, and the level of care you are seeking.

New patients: unless it is an emergency appointment, are scheduled for a 75 minute meet-and-greet/examination appointment with Dr. John. He will listen to your concerns and past experiences about dentistry; ask about your goals and expectations; and discuss about any obstacles you might have to better dental health. Dr. John will explain the difference between health/disease and introduce the clinical examination – an interactive “guided tour” of your mouth where you can discover what is right and not quite right with your mouth at the same time we do. You will leave this appointment with an understanding of the findings of your examination and then you and Dr. John will agree on the next step. Dr. John and you will develop a plan together for a lifetime of dental health that meets your goals and fits into your life and budget.
